How it works

Social Viewer shows you what a Snapchat account has already made public on its Public Profile: stories, highlights and profile details. Type a username and it does the rest.

  1. Enter a username

Type the account's Snapchat username into the search box, with or without the @. You can also open a link like /?u=nasa directly.

  2. Social Viewer loads the public profile

It requests the account's public page at snapchat.com/@username, the same page anyone can open in a browser, and reads the profile data Snapchat embeds in it.

  3. See the profile at a glance

You get the name, bio, avatar, subscriber count and website, plus when the last story was posted and when the Public Profile was created.

  4. Watch stories and highlights

Tap a story circle to watch it full screen. Tap the right side or press → to go forward, the left side or ← to go back, and Esc to close. It plays straight into the next highlight.

What you can see

Only what the account owner has chosen to make public:

What you can't see

Social Viewer doesn't sign in to Snapchat and can't see anything behind a login. That means no private accounts, friends-only stories, messages, Snap Map locations or friend lists. Personal accounts without a Public Profile show only basic details, or nothing.

Why some profiles show no stories

Stories only appear when the account has a Snapchat Public Profile and has posted a public story in the last 24 hours or saved public highlights. If neither is true, the profile shows "No public story or highlights right now."

How fresh is the information?

Results are cached for up to 5 minutes so repeat lookups are fast and don't put extra load on Snapchat. Search again after a few minutes to see new stories.
