# Social Viewer

> Social Viewer is a free web app for viewing public Snapchat profiles in a browser. Enter a Snapchat username to see that account's public story, saved public highlights, display name, bio, avatar, subscriber count, website, when its last story was posted, and when its Public Profile was created. No Snapchat account or sign-in is needed.

Social Viewer only shows information that account owners have chosen to make public on their Snapchat Public Profile. It cannot show private accounts, friends-only stories, messages, Snap Map locations or anything behind a login. It does not offer downloads. It is an independent project and is not affiliated with Snap Inc.

Direct profile links use the format `https://publicsnapchatstoryviewer.com/?u=USERNAME` (for example `https://publicsnapchatstoryviewer.com/?u=nasa`).

## Key facts

- Price: free, with no sign-up or paid tiers; the site may show ads
- Requirements: any modern web browser
- Data: public profile data only; results are cached for up to 5 minutes; no accounts; the app itself sets no cookies (ads, if shown, are served by Google AdSense)
- Viewer privacy: views are not tied to a Snapchat account, so the viewer's name does not appear in the account owner's viewer list, but Snapchat can still see each request's IP address
